Mad Casino cashback — the 20% Monday payment

By Hannah Morley · Updated 7 October 2026

Alongside the welcome stack, Mad Casino advertises a weekly cashback of 20% of net losses, paid in withdrawable cash. Here is how the figure is reached and where the ceiling sits in pounds.

How it is calculated

The operator adds up the result of every settled wager over the week. If the total is a loss, 20% of that net loss is credited back on Monday. If the week ends in profit, there is nothing to return. Only settled bets count, so a football accumulator still running on Sunday night falls into the following week.

Because it is paid as cash rather than bonus credit, there is no playthrough attached. That distinction is more important than the percentage: a 20% cashback with 30x wagering would be worth far less.

The cap in pounds

The weekly cashback is capped at €500 per player — about £425 at £0.85 to the euro. To hit that cap you would need net losses of €2,500, roughly £2,125, in a single week. If you are anywhere near that figure, the cashback is not the thing to be thinking about; please read our responsible gambling page.

The week runs on GMT

The advertised week runs from Monday 00:00 to Sunday 23:59 GMT. During British Summer Time, clocks in the UK are an hour ahead, so the cut-off falls just before 1am on Monday. A late Sunday session in July can therefore land in either week depending on when the bets settle.

An example week

DayNet result
Monday−€60
Wednesday+€25
Saturday−€85
Week−€120

Net loss €120 (≈ £102). Cashback at 20% is €24, about £20.40, credited as cash the following Monday. It does not change the fact that the week cost about £82 net.

What it is worth

Cashback softens losses; it does not reverse them. Its real value is that it rewards nothing in particular — no target turnover, no tier to chase. If you notice yourself playing on Sunday night to "bank" a bigger cashback, that is a signal to stop, and the tools on our responsible gambling page exist for exactly that moment.

Questions from UK players

Is the cashback a bonus with wagering?

No. As advertised, it is paid in cash with no wagering on the cashback portion, so it can be withdrawn.

When does the cashback week reset?

Net losses are counted from Monday 00:00 GMT to Sunday 23:59 GMT, and the credit arrives on Monday morning. Note that GMT, not British Summer Time, is the reference, so in summer the week ends at 00:59 on Monday UK time.
